Prayer for the Restoration of Israel and Nations

'I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord , give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth. '

Father God, we (I) pray for Israel.

Father God!

On May 18, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) began a ground operation called Operation Gideon’s Chariots in several areas of the northern and southern Gaza Strip to pressure Hamas and demand the release of hostages. On May 18, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced the resumption of humanitarian aid to Gaza, which had been suspended since March 2, “because the food crisis in Gaza could threaten the continuation of the operation.” This is because it is necessary to prevent a large-scale starvation of Gaza residents to expand the military operation. A new US-led civilian humanitarian aid system, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), is being prepared. “We will prevent Hamas from controlling humanitarian aid supplies and prevent aid supplies from reaching terrorists,” he said. The GHF said it plans to establish four secure distribution points by the end of this month to establish a direct and transparent aid delivery system.

Father God, please work through the newly launched Operation Gideon Chariots so that Hamas' terrorist groups are destroyed, the remnants of their terrorist infrastructure are removed, and the remaining hostages are released. There is strong opposition within the government and criticism from hostage families and military families regarding the decision to send relief vehicles back to Gaza, as the people of Gaza are suffering due to Hamas' exploitation of relief supplies entering the Gaza Strip. We pray that humanitarian aid will be delivered to the Gazans through the GHF, which the IDF protects. We pray that all 58 hostages (20-23 alive, 35 dead) who remain in Gaza will return quickly. Please comfort and strengthen the families, friends, and relatives of the remaining hostages who are anxiously waiting for the release of the hostages every day. Please hold the remaining hostages who are suffering in Hamas’ evil situation, give them the strength to endure to the end, and open the way for them to come out quickly. Comfort the parents of the young soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect their country and their families, the families who lost their husbands and fathers, and the parents who lost their children, and let the many wounded soldiers heal quickly. “Thus says the Lord: The captives of the mighty will be taken, and the prey of the fearful will be rescued; for I will resist those who oppose you, and I will save your children” (Isaiah 49:25) According to this word, please save the hostages, oppose Hamas, the enemy who started this evil, and completely save Israel. The Israeli government and military, please let the soldiers who are conducting the ground operation ‘Operation Gideon’s Chariots’ rescue all the hostages and destroy Hamas in Gaza, believing that the war belongs to the Lord. Please protect and guard them so they can trust the Lord God, be strong and courageous, and carry out their mission well. “Behold, I will make you a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth; you will beat the mountains, crush them, and make the hills like chaff. You will winnow them, the wind will carry them away, and the whirlwind will scatter them. But you will rejoice in the Lord and boast in the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 41:15-16) Please make the soldiers of Israel a new threshing sledge and make them strong warriors of the Lord, and let them show forth and boast of God’s holiness. Also, please let all Israel come before the Lord God completely and become a people who trust the Lord God who helps and saves them. We pray that God's covenant words for Israel will be fulfilled.

# On May 18, Prime Minister Netanyahu, together with Mossad Director David, delivered the will of Eli Cohen, an Israeli Mossad agent who had close ties to Syria’s political and military elites at the time and passed military secrets to Israel, to his wife Nadia at the Prime Minister’s Office. Also included were handwritten letters sent to Cohen’s family, photos taken during his infiltration into Syria, a forged passport, and the original will written hours before he was hanged on May 18, 1965, after 60 years. ## On the morning of the 18th, the Yemeni rebel group Houthi launched two ballistic missiles targeting Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport, causing air raid alerts to be sounded throughout central Israel, including Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Israeli air defense systems successfully intercepted one missile, and the other crashed before reaching Israel.

### On the 14th, Cheela Ghez (30 years old), who was heading to the hospital with her husband to give birth, was shot by a terrorist. She died immediately upon arrival at the hospital, and the baby was born by cesarean section shortly after arriving at the hospital and is currently receiving treatment in critical condition in the intensive care unit of the Schneider Children’s Hospital in Petah Tikva. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) arrested Palestinians suspected of shooting and killing pregnant Cheela Ghez in the village of Brukin in the Judea-Samaria region on the 17th. In addition, while arresting one of the suspects, a man shouted “Allahu Akbar” (Allahu is great). He rushed toward the military with a suspected bomb-filled bag, and the military neutralized him with gunfire.

### On May 16, at around 9 p.m., an Arab terrorist stabbed an Israeli police officer at the entrance of Chain Street near the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem. The injured police officer was rushed to the hospital. The condition was reported to be “serious but not life-threatening,” and a nearby police officer neutralized the terrorist.

Father God, many things have happened in Israel this past week. This land and these people are the firstborn nation that the Lord recorded in the Bible, and they are the people of God who have lived by the Word of God. Even now, amid war and terrorist attacks, news of pain and sorrow aches our hearts and makes us pray with tears of sadness. Please comfort his wife Nadia, who has lived praying for the nation of Israel for 60 years since the death of Eli Kohen, who worked as a spy in Syria and relayed Syrian military information and activities to Mossad, and who helped Israel recover the Golan Heights and Mount Hermon through the Six-Day War in 1967. Hanael Gez, a husband and father who lost his wife to terrorism on the way to give birth to a young child given by God, is amid difficulties caring for a young baby under challenging circumstances. “It is so sad, but I thank God we will live and shine light on the world. The terrorists can never break us, and we will exist and succeed and prosper.” Please comfort and strengthen Hananel, who is enduring her sorrow and confessing her faith. Please help the police officer who was attacked by terrorism to be fully treated and recover well. Please protect and defend the Israeli military, police, and Mossad agents who are hunting down terrorists linked to Hamas and Jihad in the West Bank who are making guns and bombs to attack Israel and are attacking them from time to time. Please stand with Iran and eliminate the Houthis from Yemen, who are firing missiles at Israel. Please rule over the Houthis, who are doing evil. Please expose and destroy Iran’s evil plans to attack and destroy Israel through Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis. “He who digs a pit will fall into it, and he who rolls a stone will be crushed by it.” (Proverbs 26:27) “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9) Please expose and destroy all the evil plans of Iran so that they fall into the pits they have dug for themselves. Through these events, may not only Iran and its people, but also all nations realize that God chose Israel first and is fulfilling the words He recorded today. Thank you.

May 26th is the 57th anniversary of Jerusalem Day. Even though Israel is currently at war, we believe that Jehovah God is saving Israel and blessing her through this war, and we pray and bless Israel. As the firstborn nation that received God's love through our ancestors, we believe that He is fulfilling His covenant with Israel when He turns away Israel's ungodliness and takes away her sins, as He said, until the full number of salvation for the Gentiles of the nations is complete. “Awake, awake, take up your strength, O Zion! Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For no more will the uncircumcised and the unclean come into you. Shake off your dust! Rise, sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose your neck bands, O captive daughter of Zion! For thus says the LORD: ‘You were sold for nothing, and you will be redeemed without money.’” (Isaiah 52:1-3) May Israel return to the LORD and listen to his word, and may it become a nation established in the light of his righteousness. “Then you shall know that I am amid Israel, that I am the LORD your God, and there is no other; and my people shall never be put to shame.” (Joel 2:27) According to this word, may the LORD God reveal that he is the God of Israel, and may Israel become a people who serve the LORD God completely. “Comfort, comfort my people, your God says: Speak to the heart of Jerusalem, and cry to her, ‘The time of her labor is over, her iniquity is forgiven; she has received from the hand of the LORD double for all her sins.’” (Isaiah 40:1,2) Also, let Israel now obey the word of the Lord God, who tells Israel to comfort Israel through Christians who believe in Yeshua of the nations. Let the Gentile churches and saints truly love and comfort the people of God who are suffering from this painful war and terrorism, as the word says, and let them reach the heart of Jerusalem. Let Israel’s eyes be opened to see Yeshua, the King of the Jews, the King of the Great City of Jerusalem, and open their ears to hear the news of Yeshua, the Messiah who will come as the King of Peace. Let the Holy Spirit work so that Israel can understand with their hearts.

On May 19, Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy for the Middle East, said, “We will not allow Iran to enrich uranium to even 1% in the nuclear negotiations with Iran because it leads to weaponization.” The U.S. said that it will not allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons, and that it expects “realistic progress” in the nuclear negotiations scheduled to take place in Europe this week. In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said, “Uranium enrichment technology is a national achievement that can never be stopped,” and that “unrealistic expectations are derailing the negotiations.” Deputy Foreign Minister Majid also said, “If the U.S. completely rules out enrichment, the negotiations will go nowhere,” and that “Uranium enrichment is Iran’s position from which it cannot retreat.” In the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, Iran was able to enrich uranium within the limits of the promised concentration (3.67%) and reserves (202.8 kg based on U-235), but the current uranium enrichment level has been increased to 60%, which is the level that can be enriched to a nuclear weapons-grade level (approximately 90%) in a short period.

Father God, we thank you for the United States’ strong opposition to Iran’s uranium enrichment for nuclear development. In response, Iran says that uranium enrichment cannot be stopped and that negotiations will not take place. President Trump’s actions while touring the Middle East are drawing attention from all over the world, and interest in changes and movements in the Region is growing. Although the United States has reached a ceasefire with the Houthis, the Houthis continue to launch missiles toward Israel, and Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei continues to openly say that he will uproot Israel from the face of the earth. On May 20, Khamenei also said about the nuclear negotiations with the United States that “the nuclear negotiations with the United States will not produce results,” and that “Iran has its policies and means and will pursue them.” The United States and Iran have negotiated four times since the 12th of last month with Oman’s mediation, but there has been no significant progress. Iran is developing nuclear weapons and continues to create nuclear weapons, threatening the United States and other nations. In particular, it not only opposes Israel, God’s firstborn nation, but also supports the Hezbollah terrorist group in Lebanon and the Hamas terrorist group in the Gaza Strip to attack Israel, saying that it will destroy Israel from the face of the earth. Please stop Iran’s nuclear development, thwart its evil plans to attack Israel, and rule over Iran’s evil actions that openly declare that they will destroy Israel from the face of the earth. “O God, do not be silent; O God, do not be silent, do not be still. Your enemies have murmured, and those who hate you have lifted their heads. They have plotted against your people and taken counsel together against the one you have hidden. They say, ‘Come, let us destroy them so that they will be no more a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more.’” (Psalm 83:1-4) Father God, please answer the psalmist’s prayer and protect and guard Israel. Please rule over Iran, which is doing evil with a false ideology, and let them realize that you alone are the true God and the only Savior.

On May 16, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News that “Israel was never left out during this Middle East tour.” Regarding the expansion of the Gaza operation, he dismissed media analysis that “Israel was left out” after the president’s Middle East tour, saying that he was fine with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. President Trump said, “Arab countries like Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar are loving the United States again. This is good for Israel,” he said, emphasizing that “establishing relations with the entire Middle East is also in Israel’s interest.” He also said, “Prime Minister Netanyahu has been in a tough situation since October 7, but he is fighting strongly and courageously.” Regarding Iran’s nuclear program, he said, “Whether it is an armed conflict or not, a solution will be found.” “Iran is the most destructive force exporting terrorism and death to the world.” We appreciate the call for Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords. “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:3) According to this word, may the United States, which blesses Israel, be blessed. By cursing Iran, which hates Israel and threatens to wipe it from the face of the earth, God will fulfill His promise to Abraham and his descendants, and all nations will realize that God’s word is the living truth. Let us worship Jehovah God.

On May 6, the U.S. Supreme Court allowed the administration to enforce the ban on transgender people in the military, allowing the military to discharge thousands of transgender people and deny recruits while the legal challenge is ongoing. The current administration initially blocked the ban on transgender people in the military with an executive order in January. Still, separate lawsuits by the U.S. District Court for the District of Washington and the District of Columbia have ruled to halt it. However, the U.S. Supreme Court granted the administration’s request and temporarily lifted the ban, allowing the military to discharge thousands of transgender people and deny recruits.

Father God, we thank you for allowing the U.S. Supreme Court to ban transgender people from the military, which is focused on combat and improving military power and combat effectiveness. We thank you for allowing the U.S. government, public education, and military to return to a biblical and pure image after a long history of anti-biblical culture and policies, anti-LGBTQ ideology, anti-transgender ideology, and extreme racial theories. Human rights groups and mainstream media strongly criticized the decision of six conservative justices on the Supreme Court, calling it a “biased policy.” It is still being reviewed in the lower courts, and the Supreme Court may again consider it. We are thankful that the six conservative justices have brought America back to biblical values ​​in family, gender, etc., and we pray that they will be safely protected from those who oppose them. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2) The rulings of liberal justices in the United States are currently blocking the implementation of many executive orders. The Pentagon has issued guidance stating that those with a history or diagnosis of gender transition will be prohibited from serving in the military. Still, exceptions can be made if they directly contribute to combat. “No more pronouns, no more obsession with climate change, no more urgent vaccine mandates, no more men in dresses,” Secretary of Defense Hegseth said at the U.S. Special Operations Forces Conference. The vast majority of Americans support this policy, and we are thankful that the military is recruiting young people in historic numbers. As God establishes America as a great power and uses it, may He use America humbly for world peace and return it to the right path morally and ethically. We also pray that the United States will be used as a tool of blessing that the Lord desires, not only as a healthy influence on the nations, but also as a nation that spreads the gospel more powerfully. May the church's and intercessors' prayers always be lifted up before the Lord.

The executive order on pharmaceutical prices was issued on May 12, and the administration and the Department of Health and Human Services are grateful for the adjustments that have been made to the fact that American patients are paying 2-3 times more for the same drugs than other developed countries. The United States, which accounts for about 5% of the world's population, currently accounts for 75% of global pharmaceutical company profits because the pharmaceutical industry in the United States has been blocking policies such as expanding the authority to negotiate drug prices and allowing imports through lobbying funds. Under the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act, enacted in 2003, even Medicare, the health insurance for the elderly, cannot negotiate drug prices. The insurance structure is complex, and prices are not transparent, so consumers have been paying the most expensive prices for developed drugs without the right to negotiate prices.

Father God, we thank you for the U.S. administration’s policy of lowering drug prices for the American people, allowing American patients to purchase drugs at the same price as other developed countries, saving 20-80% on drug costs, and for working to create competitive prices by reducing Medicare and Medicaid spending and allowing imported drugs. However, there is also political backlash due to the interpretation of the law that states the government cannot intervene in private drug prices. Powerful lobbying groups are blocking the policy, making it challenging to implement executive orders for the people. “Blessed are the wise, the man who finds understanding” (Proverbs 3:13). Please give wisdom and understanding to the administration and Department of Health and Human Services leaders so that the people can benefit, as this verse says. Please grant wisdom and knowledge to the administration and Department of Health and Human Services leaders so that the people can help. Although many presidents have tried, they have been blocked by powerful lobbying. Now, this has not been accomplished through God's sovereignty, and we ask that it be achieved for all patients in the United States. Please bless the current U.S. government, which is establishing sound policies so that the economically disadvantaged can benefit from the proper use of medicine and be cured of illness and pain.

Overseas voting for the 21st presidential election was held from May 20th. The National Election Commission announced on the 19th that overseas voting for the 21st presidential election will be held at 223 polling stations in 118 countries around the world. The voting will start at the New Zealand Embassy, ​​Auckland Branch, and the Fiji Embassy overseas polling stations at 8:00 AM on May 20th and end at the Honolulu overseas polling station on the 25th.

Father God, overseas voting for the 21st presidential election began worldwide on May 20th. The nation is paying attention to this election and earnestly praying that fairness, truth, and justice will be maintained. Concerns and distrust about election fraud are deepening in this land, and the people are participating with heavy hearts due to fears of the future. Please grant us grace so the upcoming presidential election will be held within God’s justice, not through human schemes or injustice. Above all, please expose the hidden dark works and watch over us with fiery eyes so that illegality and manipulation do not take hold. Amidst great distrust of early voting, we cherish the sovereignty of the people and are participating. Please make sure that fair and safe elections are held equally at all overseas polling stations nationwide and around the world. We earnestly pray that the Holy Spirit intervenes so that all administrative, management, and counting processes are carried out truthfully and transparently. “When the righteous are numerous, the people rejoice; but when the wicked are in power, the people groan. A king establishes a land by righteousness, but a bribe-giver destroys it.” (Proverbs 29:2,4). Father God, please help us prevent the wicked from gaining power in Your eyes. Please lead a leader who fears God, does not prioritize personal comfort and glory, but thinks of the people first, and has a vision for the times, and a leader who is responsible for the country, who possesses holiness, discernment, courage, and love, to be elected as the president and lead the Republic of Korea to become a powerful nation in the world. Please strengthen the knees of the Korean church in prayer for this work, and pray with one voice. Father God, you have already determined the Republic of Korea's path. “They bend their tongues like a bow, they speak lies; they are not true. They are strong in the land, but they go from evil to evil, and they do not know me” (Jeremiah 9:3). We pray again that you shatter their unrighteous thoughts so that injustice cannot gain power and prevent a person who eats lies, illegality, and deception as if it were food from becoming president. We pray that you cut off anti-state forces and those who support the pro-North Korea and pro-Jung regimes while shaking the foundations of liberal democracy, establish the Republic of Korea according to God's will, and appoint a president who acknowledges and fears God. Please grant the Republic of Korea the power to win all systemic wars once again and continue to fulfill the mission given by God as a liberal democratic nation. We pray earnestly that you establish the country as a nation that completely glorifies God and exalts Yeshua.

On the 19th, the Holy Breakwater, Jinpyeongyeon, Han Dayeon, Sugi-chong, and the Free Human Rights Movement held a ‘Rally Against the Anti-Discrimination Act and Comprehensive Sex Education’ in front of the main gate of the Korea Christian Church Hall. During the rally, Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party’s presidential candidate, visited the Christian Church Hall and met with leaders of the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK) and the Mission Network of Private Schools (MCS). At the rally, representatives of each group issued a statement explaining “the reason why we resolutely oppose the leftist policy of enforcing the Comprehensive Anti-Discrimination Act and Comprehensive Sex Education.” ▲ It undermines freedom of speech, expression, academics, religion, conscience, and thought by putting biased ideological human rights first. ▲ It rapidly increases the number of students who engage in sexual exploitation of minors, homosexuality, and gender reassignment. ▲ It undermines the authority of the church and tramples on the rights of parents. ▲ It changes the concept of gender and dismantles the distinction between men and women. ▲ They cited that it exacerbates the population cliff problem and threatens the country's existence. They said, “The only chance to inform the public of this truth is now, before the presidential election, and if leftist policies take over the press and freedom of expression, we will no longer be able to tell the truth.” “For the sake of our children’s future and our nation’s existence, I earnestly appeal to you to have the courage not to remain silent.”

Father God, thank you for allowing me to bow down and pray before your voice, which wants your people to awaken in this age. “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20) In this age, the forces of Satan are gaining ground, trying to destroy the hearts and lives of young children by packaging evil as good. Comprehensive anti-discrimination laws and sex education policies that confuse sexual identity are being enforced, threatening the future of children. “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? “He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift his soul to what is worthless, nor swears deceitfully” (Psalm 24:34). Like this verse, please grant the Korean church the grace to cleanse its hands and purify its heart to stand again on the holy rock. Please protect this country from these evil laws and policies that take away parents’ rights in the name of false and distorted human rights, and expose children to the dangers of homosexuality, transgenderism, and sexual exploitation. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will” (Romans 12:2) Please grant the Korean church the courage to not compromise with the temptations of the times, not lose its discernment, and not remain silent. Please grant the Korean church the grace to fully reveal the truth and tell the people the true path to life through this opportunity before the presidential election. Father God, never let justice be destroyed or freedom of speech and expression be suppressed. For the future of our children and the existence of liberal democracy in this country, please grant the Korean church strong authority and the fullness of the Holy Spirit so that it can wake up and fight against evil laws and evil spirits and be victorious.
