Prayer for the Restoration of Israel and Nations

Father God, we (I) pray for Israel.

Father God!

# On Monday, May 12, at around 8 p.m., after 584 days of hostage war, US-Israeli dual citizen Ethan Alexander was released from Hamas’ hands and reunited with his family. Prime Minister Netanyahu said that Alexander’s release was due to US diplomatic influence and IDF military pressure, and that the war against Hamas will continue until all the hostages are returned. Hamas released a video of two hostages in Gaza on May 10.

# On May 13, the IDF attacked Hamas terrorists operating at the command and control center located in the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, killing Ismail Barhoum, a Hamas political bureau member and the organization’s chief financial officer. The facility was used by terrorists to plan terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF forces, and to use the hospital and the civilians around it brutally. The airstrike was carried out using precision weapons after gathering intelligence from the IDF and Shin Bet.

Heavenly Father, thank you for releasing Alexander, who had been held hostage for 19 months, and returning him to his family. Please heal and comfort the pain of torture and suffering he suffered in the dark tunnel. We pray that all 58 hostages (20-23 alive, 35 dead) who are still in the Gaza Strip will return quickly. Please comfort and strengthen the families, friends, and relatives of the remaining hostages who are anxiously praying and waiting for the release of the hostages. Please hold the remaining hostages who are suffering under Hamas’ evil situation, give them the strength to endure until the end, and open the way for them to come out quickly. Please comfort the parents of the young soldiers who gave their lives to protect their country and their families, the families who lost their husbands and fathers, and the parents who lost their children, and please heal the many injured soldiers quickly. “Thus says the Lord: The captives of the mighty will be taken, and the prey of the fearful will be rescued; for I will fight against those who fight against you, and I will save your children” (Isaiah 49:25) According to this word, please save the hostages, fight against Hamas, the enemy who started this evil, and completely save Israel. The Israeli government and military are mobilizing and training 70,000 reservists, saying that they will continue the war until all the hostages are rescued and Hamas is eliminated from Gaza. Please protect and guard the soldiers on the battlefield so they believe that the war belongs to the Lord, believe in and rely on the Lord God, and be strong and courageous in carrying out their missions well. “Behold, I will make you a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth; you will beat the mountains, crush them, and make the hills like chaff. You will winnow them, the wind will carry them away, and the whirlwind will scatter them. But you will rejoice in the Lord and boast in the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 41:15-16) Please make the soldiers of Israel a new threshing sledge and make them strong warriors of the Lord, and let them show and boast about God’s holiness. Also, let all Israel come completely before the Lord God and become a people who trust in the Lord God who helps and saves them. We pray that God’s covenant words for Israel will be fulfilled.

On May 10, Karim Khan, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), said in an interview with CNN that the decision to indict Netanyahu and Galland for war crimes would lead to Western countries distancing themselves from Israel. In response, US President Blinken told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that “this decision is completely wrong on many levels and challenges the ongoing negotiations to free the hostages and end Israel’s attacks on Gaza.” Several Western countries, including France, Poland, Austria, the US, Argentina, Hungary, Italy, and Germany, are grateful that they have stated that they will not execute arrest warrants for Netanyahu or Galland if they reach their territory. Last month, the ICC’s Office of the Prosecutor sent a formal letter to Israel requesting information on evacuation orders, safe zones, civilian deaths in Gaza, and guidelines for humanitarian assistance to the area. Please have mercy on the prosecutors and judges who are obsessed with anti-Semitic prejudice against Israel, who indicted Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Galland, even though Hamas attacked Israel with the terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023. Please let them realize the beginning of the war and the terrorism of Hamas, which still opposes and attacks Israel without releasing the hostages, and make the proper judgment and discernment.

On May 8, the International Gay and Lesbian Queer Festival (LGBTQ) organization, a year after the Israeli representative advocacy group ceased its activities, is moving to restore the organization and have the Aguda of Israel host the organization’s annual conference. While countries around the world have designated June as Pride Month and are holding gay parades, Tel Aviv, Israel, has been the world’s number one gay-friendly city, attracting over 200,000 people yearly. The organization, unable to gather last year due to the war that began in 2023, is seeking to restore itself and is planning to start a meeting this year to promote this.

Father God, we thank you that last year, despite the war, there was no gay parade in Tel Aviv, Israel, the land of the Bible, as well as in Jerusalem and other cities. However, the International Gay and Lesbian Queer Festival organization is gathering its members to start doing evil things again in Israel.

Now Israel says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14) Let us realize that it is time to repent of these wicked sins, seek the face of the Lord God, bow down in prayer, and turn from our sinful ways and return to the word of truth. “You will return and obey the voice of the Lord again, and do all his commandments that I am giving you today. If you obey the voice of the Lord your God and keep his commandments and his decrees written in this Book of the Law and if you return to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, the Lord your God will multiply you in all the work of your hands, in the fruit of your womb, in the offspring of your livestock, and the produce of your land. The Lord will again rejoice over you and bless you, just as he rejoiced over your fathers.” (Deut. 308-10) We pray that God will work to restore Israel spiritually, so that we may become a nation that obeys this word and receives the blessings that God delights in. Please let Israel return to the Lord, listen to the Lord’s word, and become a nation established in the light of the Lord’s righteousness. Also, please open Israel’s eyes to see the King of the Jews, Yeshua, comforting Israel through Christians who believe in Yeshua from all nations. Please open our ears to hear the news of the Messiah Yeshua, who will come as the Prince of Peace, and work with the Holy Spirit to make us Israel who understand with our hearts.

Father God!

We praise the Lord who hears the prayers of the watchmen on the great and precious walls of God and works. Please give peace to Jerusalem. May the Lord God establish Jerusalem and praise it in the world. May the Jews who are scattered throughout the nations and all the tribes of Israel who must return to their homeland return to the promised land. Please work so that the law of return will be changed, and believing Jews will also be able to make Aliyah. Please give us the power of the Holy Spirit to fully fulfill the precious mission of serving and praying until the word of God is fulfilled, and may we live a life of faithful faith. Please protect our health.

On May 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, “Let’s start direct negotiations without delay and preconditions in Istanbul, Turkey, on the 15th.” This is a proposal for unconditional direct negotiations to end the war with Ukraine, saying that Ukraine and Russia will start talks again in the same place where they negotiated in Istanbul right after the start of the war in 2022.

Father God, we thank Russian President Putin for his efforts to mediate with the international community for a peaceful resolution to this war. We thank him for proposing not only a ceasefire with Ukraine, but also an end-of-war negotiation. We pray that Ukrainian President Zelensky and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will consider not only the proposals of neighboring countries for an end to the war, but also the difficult situation of their suffering people, and join the negotiations. Please let the leaders of Russia and Ukraine become those who care for the suffering and afflicted people, not from their positions. “These are the things you shall do: Speak the truth to your neighbor, and render true and peaceful judgment in your gates. Do not plot evil against one another in your hearts, and do not love a false oath; for all these things I hate, declare the Lord.” (Zeph 8:16-17) Please lead the Russian and Ukrainian leaders to speak truthfully with each other before God, and come to the negotiating table with a heart that considers each other compassionate, not self-interested, and lead them to an end to the war.

Father God!

Last month, on the 22nd, Pakistan was identified as the one behind the gun attack near Pahalgam, a resort area in Indian-administered Kashmir, that killed 26 people. On the 7th, they launched Operation Sindoor. They launched missile attacks on 9 locations in Pakistan, and on the morning of the 10th, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyanun Marsoos as a direct response to Operation Sindoor. There was a risk of an all-out war by attacking India's missile storage facilities and air force bases. However, dramatically. Although the two nuclear-armed countries, India and Pakistan, agreed to a full-scale ceasefire, the two countries continued to engage in fighting throughout the night across the Line of Actual Control (LoC), which is the de facto border. The Pakistani military said that 11 soldiers and 40 civilians were killed in the military clash with India.

Father God, we thank you for the ceasefire that was reached while the world was paying attention to the fighting between nuclear-armed countries, India and Pakistan. However, many lives were lost in the clashes during the night, and both countries are on edge. “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See to it that you are not afraid. For all these things must happen, but the end is not yet. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” (Matthew 24:6-7) According to these words, we realize that the news of civil wars and wars occurring everywhere is already the beginning of disaster and indicates that the tribulation era has arrived. Please have mercy on the people who are in difficult circumstances and situations due to the war between Russia and Ukraine and the conflict between India and Pakistan. Amid this news of wars, please let those who must be saved from each nation, tribe, people, and language quickly come before the Lord. Please work with the Holy Spirit so that the souls chosen by the Lord come before the Lord. The wars prophesied until our Lord's coming, the Prince of Peace, Yeshua, are continuing without end. As we see things happening that oppose each other, may the people of faith wake up in this age, intercede, and prepare the way for the Lord's return. Please fill us with the Holy Spirit and let us live the life of a believer in the Word and prayer.

Father God, I (we) pray for the US.

Father God!

On April 29, West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey signed two bills into law, one banning cellphones in classrooms and one requiring public schools and institutions of higher education to display posters or frames of the American motto, “In God We Trust.” “We must give glory to God and teach Americans and children about our founding principles, our civic values, and the truth and accuracy of our American life and history,” said Senator Azinger, who has been pushing the bill for three years. The display must feature the American flag as the centerpiece of the national motto and cannot include any other words or images.

Father God, we thank you for passing legislation that will emphasize and prioritize the teaching of God in the hearts of students in West Virginia, USA, in the education of the next generation. “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). As this verse says, please guide us in teaching our children more about the educational field, recognizing the truth of the Bible and the Ten Commandments, and that America is moving forward by trusting in God. Please let this bill bring about significant changes to teachers and students, restore Christian values ​​and order, and reestablish the culture of ‘faith’ and ‘responsibility’ throughout the educational world. Also, please guide us to reduce cell phone addiction that can harm students’ mental health through policies that use filters to prevent them from searching or downloading materials. Please let them learn and practice using their cell phones more responsibly. We pray that children who will be increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence in the future will not be caught up in its influence, but will be given wisdom and discernment to use artificial intelligence and technology wisely, control it, and use it usefully in all directions.

Father God!

On Saturday, May 3, 7,752 people were baptized at the 2025 California Baptist Convention in Huntington Beach, California. Over 25,000 people flocked to the beach over 10 hours to witness and participate in what has been called one of the largest mass baptisms in American history. Last year, more than 6,100 people were baptized in this area at Baptize California 2024. After more than 12,000 baptized statewide, thousands more immediately asked, “How can I get involved?” A vision that is bigger than California, a vision for all of America. Baptize California 2025 will be the kickoff event for Baptize America, which officially launches on June 8, connecting people seeking baptism and spiritual renewal with local churches across the United States to spark a national awakening as one soul, one community.

Father God, although this generation is becoming dark and rebellious, we thank You that the souls You seek and call are coming to You, receiving forgiveness of sins through the blood of Yeshua’s cross, being baptized, and confessing that they are Your children. “Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.’ And with many other words, he confirmed it and exhorted them, saying, ‘Save yourselves from this rebellious generation.’ Those who accepted His word were baptized, and about three thousand souls were added to them that day.” (Acts 2:38-41) The Lord who accomplished the work of salvation through the apostles of the early church! In this generation, let the wind of revival of the Holy Spirit blow so that believers “praise God and have the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those being saved” (Acts 2:42). Like this verse, may believers praise God and live as the light of the world, be praised by their neighbors, and live good lives that save their neighbors. May Baptize California develop into Baptize America, and may a wave of revival occur in every state in the United States. We pray that revival will happen in the church established in the name of Yeshua, the head of the church.

Father God, I (we) pray for South Korea.

Father God!

On May 12, the second day of the ‘National 3-day Joint Fasting and Prayer Meeting,’ the believers gathered at Gumran Church (Pastor Kim Jeong-min) in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, held a prayer time for 11 hours starting at 10:30 AM. They prayed with tears of repentance so that ‘a president who will save North Korea and achieve a unified Korea, a president who will block the legalization of same-sex marriage and the enactment of the anti-discrimination law, and a president who will work to enact the abortion law revision quickly’ would be elected in this 21st presidential election. He stated that the Korean church should fight ‘to the point of shedding blood’ against its enemies inside and outside the church, and that they should pray so that a government that blocks the anti-discrimination law and sexual revolution will be established in this presidential election.

Father God, this country is at a critical juncture ahead of the 21st presidential election on June 3. Thank you for giving us the grace to awaken, repent, and bow before you now. Thank you for allowing the saints to gather together, cry out in one voice, and pray with tears for important prayer topics in Korean society, such as the salvation of North Korea, gospel unification, same-sex marriage, anti-discrimination laws, and abortion law revision. Also, thank you for allowing the saints to pray with one heart and one mind when you appeal to the church and civil society to join in, saying, “Let’s raise a wave of prayer for the restoration of the Republic of Korea and the reconstruction of the nation.” In Western Christian churches, the church began to collapse when biblical criticism and liberal theology spread in seminaries in the name of “academic freedom.” However, the Korean church is the only one in the world that has resisted all-out attacks from legislative, judicial, and administrative forces that pressured the enactment of the anti-discrimination law for over 18 years. Thank you for holding a large-scale national convention against the Queer Festival every year and allowing hundreds of thousands of citizens to participate. Please give the Korean church strength so that it will never remain silent in these last days and pour out powerful grace so that it can become a holy army that fights to the point of shedding blood. Please protect the Korean church from collapsing due to liberal theology and biblical criticism like the Western church. We pray that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, will personally guide us so that we can stand firm in the truth and move forward without compromising with anything untrue. We have recently seen the threat of liberal democracy tragically sweeping South Korea. “Rend your heart, not your garments, and return to the Lord your God.” (Joel 2:13) In the face of the crisis, please let the Korean church and believers weep, mourn, and return to the Lord with all their hearts, as the Word says. When the holy remnant who pray and act for the country and people rise, tear their hearts, and kneel in prayer, may the churches be filled with the amazing grace of powerful prayer that will block the evil forces threatening South Korea’s liberal democracy.

Father God!

It was revealed that youth unemployment and employment insecurity are at serious levels. As employment difficulties continue, practical support measures are needed to alleviate the economic and psychological burdens experienced by young people. It is said that the number of so-called ‘youth unemployed’, who have lost their jobs, are preparing for employment, or are not economically active, has exceeded 1.2 million. Even in successful employment cases, one in four is a short-term rather than a full-time worker, indicating that the quality of jobs is significantly deteriorating. Even if employment is successful, there is a shortage of quality jobs. Experts emphasized that the government and companies should actively step up to ensure that young people have stable jobs. The government plans to expand employment incentives and strengthen customized employment support programs to solve the youth employment problem. Still, there are growing calls for sustainable job creation and labor market structural reform rather than short-term policies.

Father God, we place the youth of this era in your hands—the burden they are carrying in a society where politics are unstable and the aging population is heavy. More than 1.2 million young people are suffering because they have been pushed out of their economically active positions. Please do not discourage the young people who are suffering economically and experiencing job instability. Instead, let them experience the grace of meeting God in these difficult times. “Daniel purposed not to defile himself with the king’s food or the wine he drank” (Daniel 1:8) Just as Daniel resolved not to defile himself while he was a captive in Babylon, please let us use difficult circumstances and situations to strengthen our resolve and not give ourselves over to worldly trends, but keep ourselves in the Word. “How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping your word.” (Psalm 119:9) In this age overflowing with temptations and confusing values, please guide them so that they can hold on to the Word of God and choose a pure and holy path to move forward. Please let them know that employment is essential to them, not just as a means of living but as a path to fulfilling God’s will. Please grant them the wisdom to cherish their youth and discern where they should stand. Only when the youth live can the Republic of Korea advance to a healthy society. Please let them stand tall as a holy generation that can restrain themselves and wait for God’s timing. “By righteousness a nation is established, but a bribe-taker overthrows it.” (Proverbs 29:4)

Father God, please give a sense of responsibility to the leaders who lead this nation. We believe that the youth employment policy will not be for show. You will provide employment support programs that actually work and can be applied in the field so that the youth can live with hope.
