Prayer for the Restoration of Israel and Nations

'Just as you, Judah and Israel, have been a curse among the nations, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid, but let your hands be strong.” '

Father God, we (I) pray for Israel.

Father God!

There were many events in Israel as we entered May. On Memorial Day, April 30, at around 9:30 a.m., a fire broke out in Mesilat Zion, next to Highway 1 between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Driven by strong winds, it quickly spread from east to west. At least 10 areas were evacuated, and the fire spread to northern Galilee. With the cooperation of firefighters and soldiers, it was extinguished in 30 hours. The fire was started by Arabs connected to Hamaster, and several suspects were arrested. The Keren Kayemet Raysrael (KKL-JNF) land development group estimated the damage to be about 1,170 hectares. The 77th anniversary of Israel's independence celebration on May 1 was canceled due to the fire and was replaced by a rehearsal video broadcast. On the morning of the 1st, two reserve soldiers were injured in a roadside terrorist bomb attack near Beita, south of Nablus (Shechem), one seriously. At dawn of that day, the Israeli army conducted a night operation in Jenin, Judea and Samaria, where they had previously worked for international media outlets such as CNN and Al Jazeera. They arrested journalist Ali Al-Samoudi, who is suspected of being linked to Islamic Jihad and transferring funds to the organization.

Father God, on April 30th, Israel's Memorial Day, a large fire broke out due to arson, presumed to be a terrorist attack, burning trees and nearby houses and blocking roads. It was difficult to cancel the 77th Independence Day events on May 1st, but I thank you for extinguishing the fire in 30 hours and returning life to normal. You established Israel, gave them the Word, and scattered Israel to the nations because they failed to obey the Word and worship God properly, and made them walk the path of suffering for a long time. But now, as the word says, we praise God who has established and protected the nation again and given revival and development. God, who proclaims and testifies the living word of God to all world countries through Israel, is the living, omnipotent God who governs history. “You are holy, O Lord, enthroned in the praises of Israel” (Psalm 22:3). “You, O Lord, endure forever; your remembrance endures from generation to generation. You will arise and have mercy on Zion; now is the time to be gracious to her, the appointed time has come.” The God of Israel, Abraham, Isaac, and  Jacob, is the holy Jehovah God, the Lord of Israel and all nations, and our Father. We give thanks and praise for this.

Father God!

On May 4, the Yemeni Houthi rebels launched a missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport, which closed the airport for three hours and injured six civilians. In response, on the evening of the 5th, the Israeli military launched an airstrike on the port city of Hodeidah, a transit point for Iranian weapons, military supplies, and equipment needed for terrorist activities on the western Red Sea coast of Yemen, about 2,000 km from Israel. The airstrikes hit port facilities, fuel storage facilities, and power facilities, which are strongholds of the Houthis, as well as a concrete factory in the nearby city of Basil, which is an essential economic resource used for the Houthis’ military infrastructure and tunnel construction, dealing a blow to the Houthi regime’s economic and military buildup.

Father God, the Houthis, who have been attacking Israel while almost taking control of the Yemeni government with the support of Iran, continue to support Hamas and attack Israeli airports. This caused the Israeli airport to be shut down, but thank you for protecting the airport and allowing it to operate normally. We are thankful that there was no significant damage, although six people were injured when a missile landed on an empty lot on the side of the road. Please eliminate the Houthi rebels in Yemen. “Blind their eyes so they cannot see; make their loins tremble continually. Pour out your anger on them; let your fierce wrath overtake them. Let their dwellings be desolate; no one lives in their tents.” (Psalm 69:23-25) Please rule over the Houthis who are doing evil according to your word. We thank you for exposing and destroying Iran’s evil plans to attack and destroy Israel through Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis. “He who digs a pit will fall into it, and he who rolls a stone will be crushed by it.” (Proverbs 26:27) “A man’s heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9) Please expose and destroy all the evil plans of Iran, so that they fall into the pits they have dug. Through these things, please let Iran and its people, as well as all the nations, realize that God chose Israel first and is fulfilling the words He wrote down today. Thank you.

Father God, even though Israel is currently at war, we believe that Jehovah God is saving Israel and blessing her through this war, and I pray for Israel and bless her. We remember God's words, "We are the firstborn nation that received His love through our ancestors, until the full number of the salvation of the Gentiles of the nations is complete." Now, we believe and give thanks that you are fulfilling your covenant with Israel when you turn away their ungodliness and take away their sins. “Listen to me, my people; listen to me, my nation; for the law will go forth from me; I will establish my righteousness as a light for the peoples.” (Isaiah 51:4) Please let Israel return to you, listen to your word, and become a nation established by the light of your righteousness. Also, please open Israel’s eyes to see the King of the Jews, Yeshua, who is comforting Israel through Christians who believe in Yeshua from all nations, and open their ears to hear the news of the Messiah, Yeshua, who will come as the King of Peace. Please work with the Holy Spirit so that Israel can become an Israel that understands with their hearts. Baruch Haba Beshem Adonai!

Father God!

Father God, please help us to return all hostages quickly, remove Hamas from Gaza, and allow the Gazans to live a stable life as refugees. We pray that Hamas will release all 59 remaining hostages (24 alive, 35 dead) and enter into a ceasefire. Israel is proposing that Hamas release all the hostages and agree to a truce while destroying Hamas’ tunnels and weapons depots in Gaza through airstrikes, while negotiations for the release of the hostages with Hamas are not taking place. We also give thanks to the Gaza residents who are living as refugees due to the war, who are protesting against the evil Hamas and demanding that they leave Gaza, despite Hamas’ suppression and retaliation. Please work so that Hamas can no longer threaten the residents in Gaza and leave the land. Please give Israel the courage to rely entirely on God and trample on their enemies, and thank you for girding them with your power, and let them come before you with all their hearts. Please comfort and strengthen the families, friends, and relatives of the remaining hostages who are waiting for the release of the hostages, praying and praying every day with anxious hearts. Please hold the remaining hostages who are suffering in Hamas’ evil situation, give them the strength to endure to the end, and open the way for them to come out quickly. Comfort the parents of the young soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect their country and their families, the families who lost their husbands and fathers, and the parents who lost their children, and let the many wounded soldiers heal quickly. “Thus says the Lord: The captives of the mighty will be taken, and the prey of the fearful will be rescued; for I will oppose those who oppose you, and I will save your children” (Isaiah 49:25) According to this word, please save the hostages, oppose Hamas, the enemy who started this evil, and completely save Israel. Please let Israel come completely before the Lord God and become a people who trust in the Lord God who heals and saves. We pray that God’s covenant words for Israel will be fulfilled.

Father God!

We praise the Lord who hears the prayers of the watchmen on the great and precious walls of God and works. Please give peace to Jerusalem. May the Lord God establish Jerusalem and praise it in the world. May the Jews who are scattered throughout the nations and all the tribes of Israel who must return to their homeland return to the promised land. Please work so that the law of return will be changed, and believing Jews will also be able to make Aliyah. Please give us the power of the Holy Spirit to fully fulfill the precious mission of serving and praying until the word of God is fulfilled, and may we live a life of faithful faith. Please protect our health.

“Every year on April 27, people across the UK are urged to do their utmost to save more lives from abortion.” Catherine Robinson, chief executive of pro-life group Right to Life UK, called for stronger protections for unborn babies who are dying as a result of the sin of abortion. Since the abortion law came into effect in the UK in 1968, around 10,741,486 unborn babies have been killed in the 57 years since it came into effect. “The current abortion rate is around one life every two minutes, or 31 lives every hour,” she said. According to the Department of Health and Social Care, the number of abortions in England and Wales in 2022 is at an all-time high of 252,122, up 37,253 from the previous year. By the end of March 2023, there were 18,207 cases in Scotland and 2,168 cases in Northern Ireland, up 23.53% from the prior year.

God the Father, “So God created man in his image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26-28) We clearly remember that the Creator God created man in His image, and that we are people who should be blessed to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and glorify God. We are going against the blessings given through God’s family, running on the path of sin, and heading toward destruction in the crimes of homosexuality and abortion. We see the reality of countless young lives being killed in the reality of abortion that is appearing in the UK. Lord, have mercy on this sinful generation and wake them up. “For they are lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. From such turn away.” (2 Timothy 3:4,5) According to this verse, this generation loves pleasure, does not listen to the word of God, does not love God, and aborts the life that God gives. We repent for the evil sins of this generation of humanity, not only in the UK but also around the world, when we see how many lives are being killed before they are even born. Please let those who abort young lives remember the Creator God, the Lord of life, and truly turn and repent with fear and trembling. Please let them realize this clearly before God, who values ​​one life more than the whole world, and become those who cherish life preciously. Please let the families of faith and children living in this evil generation not follow the world. Please help us get married, have children given by the Lord, enjoy the Lord’s blessings, and become the light of the world.In the blessings given through the family in the word of God, “Set your mind on things above, not on things on earth” (Col 3:2) Please give us the power of the Holy Spirit and protect us so that we can think of the kingdom of God according to this word, overcome the world with faith in God, and live as the world's light.

On April 30, Pastor Wang Honglan and nine Christians were found guilty of “illegal business operations” in Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia, China. Pastor Wang was sentenced to four years and ten months in prison and a fine of 1 million yuan (about 200 million won), while another believer was sentenced to one year in jail and a fine of 5,000 yuan (about 1 million won). Led by Pastor Wang Honglan, the nine Christians purchased Bibles with their own money earned from work and stores, and sold them at a loss at a 25% discount so that others could read them. Pastor Wang was arrested on April 15, 2021, along with her 73-year-old husband Ji Heying, her son Ji Guorong, her niece Wang Jia, her colleagues Liu Wei and Liu Minna, and three other Christians, and were formally indicted in November 2021. The trial began in November 2023, ended in January 2024, and was finalized in November 2024, but has now been announced. “He was already serving time during the investigation and trial, and Pastor Wang is expected to be released on February 14, 2026,” said the Voice of the Martyrs.

Father God, all nine people, including Pastor Wang Honglan, were tortured and forced to confess for selling Bibles in China. While they were detained for a long time and treated harshly during the trial, Pastor Wang was brought to court in handcuffs as if he were a dangerous prisoner, and was unjustly sentenced and imprisoned. The Chinese Communist Party is currently suppressing church leaders and believers, reinforcing new religious guidelines, and threatening them. It is said that they are persecuting Christians by replacing the cross and pictures of Jesus with pictures of Xi Jinping and propaganda pictures of the party as a policy of persecution against the church. The believers in China are being oppressed under the Xi Jinping regime, and the churches are under the influence of control. Amidst this, please protect Pastor Wang and the nine imprisoned saints who are trying to share, read, and learn the word of God correctly and keep their faith, and give them strength and victory. “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) According to this word, enjoy freedom through the Lord’s phrase, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” (John 14:27) We pray that the Lord will strengthen and courage the imprisoned evangelist Wang Honglan, his family, and the believers in the word of the Lord, and protect and guard them in the peace of the Lord. Please comfort and give peace to the churches and believers in China who cannot gather and worship freely. And may the Lord rule over the Xi Jinping regime in China that is persecuting Christianity, closing down churches, and corrupting them. May the Holy Spirit comfort the house churches and all believers in China and give them the courage to keep their faith and win. May the day come when the believers in China can freely gather, fully learn the truth of God’s word, and worship. May the Lord work in China and help and protect His chosen believers.

In March, the Texas Senate passed a bill requiring all public school classrooms to post the Ten Commandments, in response to a movement in some states to include the Bible and the Ten Commandments in public school education. A bill to post the Ten Commandments in classrooms has also been reintroduced in Oklahoma. The bill specifically requires that they be posted in a prominent location.

Father God, the spirit of the Bible and the Ten Commandments is a document that is the foundation of American law, morality, and identity formation. It is part of the United States' founding documents and a historical foundation that American students must know. I am grateful that bills are being proposed in each state to teach it in the classroom as a historical precedent. However, liberal groups and the American Citizens' Union are filing a lawsuit against the announcement of policies that are centered on the Bible and the Ten Commandments in schools to instill biblical values ​​in children. The ruling by liberal judges has halted implementation, preventing the movement from returning to the Bible. Last June, Louisiana passed a bill requiring public school classrooms to post the Ten Commandments. A federal court temporarily suspended the law, and the Oklahoma Board of Education also ordered all classrooms to have Bibles and include Christian texts in their lessons last year, but some boards have refused. We are currently pursuing legal action through progressive legal groups. In 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to allow prayer in public schools, providing an opportunity for change in interpreting the separation of church and state. Please help the Supreme Court decide in the legal battle to return the United States to biblical values. Please help us bring about reform in the education sector. So that our next generation of children can discern the wrong, unbiblical transgender ideology, gender identity ideology, abortion-promoting culture, and other radical ideologies. Please help us become people who establish correct values ​​and social justice based on the foundation of right faith. May parents' prayers come alive so that the next generation of children may learn the word of truth and become servants of God who obey it. May the presence of the Holy Spirit and the proclamation of the word be fully powerful in the church's worship.

On May 2, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. said that more than 300,000 unaccompanied children who entered the country illegally are missing due to the Biden administration's open border policy, and that they are a humanitarian and human trafficking crisis. He said that the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), under the previous Department of Health and Human Services, was handing over children who had entered the country beyond their capacity to be processed to their guardians without proper background checks on their sponsors, such as address verification and criminal background checks, and that they were disappearing into human trafficking networks. According to the Justice Department report, these children are linked to forced labor, sex trafficking, and criminal networks, and missing minors are involved in drug trafficking or cybercrime. Secretary Kennedy said that there will be more stringent sponsor screening in the future, that they will work with state police to track missing children, and that this is not a political issue but a matter of atonement for the children.

Father God, in response to the announcement by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. regarding the trafficking ring of illegal immigrants, the mainstream media in the US are completely opposing this statement and are instead criticizing the Trump administration. The disappearance of children occurred when the previous administration opened the US-Mexico border, and minors who entered the country were not adequately protected by law. I thank the current administration for announcing an urgent investigation to find the more than 300,000 missing illegal immigrants. Please protect the safety of illegal immigrants who are missing without parental protection and cannot be traced, and help them not to be sacrificed for sex trafficking or labor. We pray that the American people will know the truth about what is happening to young souls, and that we will cooperate to find homeless youth and implement the right policies. “The King will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these my brothers, you did for me.’” (Matthew 25:40) With the heart of Jesus, who wants to care for the poor and the little ones, please lead the church and the saints to join together in the good work of the government and unite their minds, and lead the people to unite rather than divide. We pray that the world's darkness will be revealed in the light of the Lord’s love and life, and that healing and change will take place in the land of America.

The Democratic Party is demanding that candidate Lee Myung postpone the main trial schedule, including the Public Official Election Act retrial, until after the presidential election. If this is not accepted, the party will announce a strong response, including the impeachment of Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae, the presiding judge, and related legislation. Democratic Party lawmaker Park Beom-gye publicly asserted the grounds for impeachment, saying, “Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae is the de facto planner and executor of hasty political involvement, presidential election intervention, and targeted trials.” Chairman of the Legislative and Judiciary Committee Jeong Cheong-rae also stated, “If a judicial coup occurs, we will impeach all judges, including the Chief Justice.”

Father God, we praise God who is the master of history. The judiciary of this country is shaking under political pressure. The judgment of judges has been threatened. The Democratic Party of Korea is demanding that candidate Lee Jae-myung's trial schedule be postponed until after the presidential election and is pressuring the trial by using impeachment as a means of the Supreme Court’s ruling. They are also pressuring the judiciary through legislation, saying that if this demand is not accepted, they will impeach the Chief Justice and the presiding judge. Some lawmakers are belittling the judiciary as a political plotting ground and are not hesitating to make extreme statements, such as impeaching all judges. Please let us realize that the actions of the Democratic Party of Korea, which continues to pursue impeachment, are a serious threat that undermines the constitutional order of liberal democracy and the sovereignty of the people and the independence of the judiciary. “Those who pervert justice and condemn the innocent are an abomination to the Lord” (Proverbs 17:15). God established the Republic of Korea as a liberal democracy and has guided us to maintain its foundations to this day. Please strictly discipline their insensitivity and recklessness in attempting to shake the judiciary, discuss impeachment of judges, and destroy the principle of separation of powers in the Republic of Korea, without regard for the people, solely to fulfill their political ambitions. “When the wicked rule, the people groan” (Proverbs 29:2). Father God, we believe sovereignty belongs to the people and that judgment belongs only to the just God. Even in these threats, we pray that the judges will not fear people until the end, but will judge justly before God, and that the Holy Spirit will personally intervene so that they will not be reduced to a tool of politics. “Only do what is right, and you will live and inherit the land that the Lord your God is giving you” (Deuteronomy 16:20). Please pity the people in a desperate crisis of electing a leader for their country while experiencing this reality, and grant them discernment. Please wake up and rise for the people who cannot hide their anxiety without knowing the path this country will take. We earnestly pray that you will strengthen the churches, pastors, and believers in the Republic of Korea so that they will pray more, tear their hearts, and enter the King's sanctuary so that true repentance can occur. Father God, we believe that you will work so that the law of God, who is above the Constitution, will be above all judgments and policies, and that only truth and justice will stand firm amidst the rampant lies and instigation.

# Since the ‘Basic Healthy Family Act’ enactment on January 1, 2005, May has been designated as Family Month every year. Family Month is a legal period designated to emphasize the importance of the family and foster an atmosphere of active participation by members of society in promoting a healthy family.

# The Bible speaks of children's nobility and proper treatment, and that children are God’s blessing and gift. It tells us that children are God’s creations, eternal life forms, objects of redemption, shadows of heavenly citizens, and the foundation of the family, society, and nation.

# President Syngman Rhee, the first president, designated and proclaimed May 8 (Mother’s Day) in 1955 to convey the spirit of Mother’s Day to the general public. In 1960, the church renamed Mother’s Day to Parents’ Day, honoring not only mothers but also fathers’ grace. Later, in 1974, the government also renamed Mother’s Day to Parents’ Day, which continues to this day.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for creating families within the order of creation you established, and for allowing parents and children to live as one in love and order. As we celebrate Family Month, I pray that the Lord will personally come to families who live in a harsh world, hurt each other, and whose relationships have collapsed due to the hurt, and that He will be with them with His hand of grace and restoration. We confess that families are the church's foundation, the pillars of society, and the nation. In this age, Satan is rushing to shake the value of families in an attempt to destroy the families that God has established. “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.” (Psalm 127:3) As in this verse, please let us love our children first, embracing the love of Yeshua, who has granted us the fruit of the womb as a reward. Also, we ask God about His thoughts toward children, and I pray that the Holy Spirit will help us raise them in the Word so that they can keep their faith, live in this challenging and demanding world, and overcome the harsh world with the Word. Also, please let children not destroy the order of their families, but become those who respect their parents who have permitted them. “Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” (Exodus 20:12) Please pour out the grace of reconciliation and restoration on the broken families of this era, parents and children in conflict and separation, and families who have grown apart due to hurt and misunderstanding. “He will turn the heart of the fathers to their children, and the heart of the children to their fathers.” (Malachi 4:6) Please let our families who have reached Family Month become little heavens, and let faith flow from generation to generation, and let them be established as families of faith who receive the blessing of firmly establishing the kingdom of God in a darkened world, and let them be used as families who fulfill the mission of the times.
